While I'm at a conference, Leila enjoys herself rediscovering New York City. We stayed long enough for me to get at least one day of sight-seeing too. We got to see, as well as the usual sights, both the Halloween Parade and the New York marathon. The conference took place right next to Ground Zero and it was interesting to see how the reconstruction is coming along.

Also, the martinis were very ... very good. Why is it that only americans know how to make good martinis?
