We welcome two friends to Switzerland, Deepa (from Singapore) and James (originally from Australia, but lately from the US), by taking them for a paddleboat ride across the Vierwaldstattersee from Luzern to Weggis, and then by cablecar from Weggis up to Hinterbergen on the upper slopes of the Rigi (called "Queen of the Mountains"). From there we followed an easy walking trail to the top. While the weather was grey and cold at lower altitudes, it was much sunnier once we got above the clouds. An excellent day.
