Samantha Owens

From Robyn Warren:- Sam died of Lupus while still young and studying at University. She was a great, happy, loving, witty, vibrant person with a terrific sense of humour and she revelled in her independence and freedom at Uni and while living in Toowoomba. She made regular trips home for love and home cooked meals and her family was devastated when she passed away. Sam was and is greatly missed by her friends and family. I will always remember her laughing, telling great stories, and as enthusiastic, giving, funny and positive.

It was a privelege to know Sam. I would have hoped that we would have stayed in touch or if we had not I would have been so happy to see her again at the reunion. The world and the BSHS reunion would have been that much better and brighter if she was still here. She would have realised great dreams to finish her studies, travel the world, enjoy her career, live, love and learn, and she would have been a terrific politician, partner, mother, teacher, aunt, journalist, horticulturalist, artist, art critic, travel writer, chef, veterinarian, philosopher, scientist, social activist or adventurer and still telling some cracking jokes. (written with love and fond memories from Robyn)
