Sledding on vinyl flooring? It works! Woohoooo!

Afterwards we went to ??? to see the MontBatten (sp?) family residence above the town. It was extremely pretty. This is where Christoph and Anneli are going to be married later this year. There are also the ruins of a very old nunnery (over 1000 years) and a more recent mausoleum (not in ruins). We were very fortunate to meet some people who knew the caretaker. They were being given a private tour of an area which is usually out of bounds for the average tourist ... and they invited us along. It was just marvelous. We learned a great deal about the local history, the relationship of the lords with their domains and how it came to pass that these lands were now state property.
