As soon as we finished year 12 I headed west and south to Bourke NSW to do a 2 yr christian discipleship course through 'Cornerstone Community'. The second yr of the course I was placed on a team of 6 to work with churches/youthgroups/drop-in centres etc in Cooma. I ended up continuing with Cornerstone on a staff level but also went to Uni to do primary teaching. When that was completed I headed back to Bourke and taught at Bourke public school and the Cornerstone school 20k out of town on a cotton farm. There I met, worked with and eventually married Jono and he and I took over the running of the little school which had 60 kids from K-10. These kids were from all around Bourke.

In 1996 our first son was born, William (Will). We moved to Dubbo at the end of 98 and our second son (Jack) was born in 99. We've done a bit more study (theology sort) and our third son (Callum) was born in 02. Since 2001 Jono has been Assistant Dean of Cornerstone community Dubbo and I've been around the house and starting to teach a little bit again. I still love sport, especially volleyball but also have an enjoyment for golf.

I would love anyone that wants to, to feel free to contact me and if you are in the neighbourhood, feel free to drop in. Our email contacts are jonobenay@bigpond.com.au and dickinsons@cornerstone.edu.au.
